Aproveitei o fim-de-semana para fazer pequenas lembranças para enviar juntamente com as minhas malas: coasters em tweed bordados à mão. Cá em casa uso-os em todo o lado, para proteger as superfícies das chávenas quentes, dos vasos e das jarras de plantas, etc. Reciclei ainda algumas caixas postais, forrando-as com papel castanho (que também reaproveitei) e enfeitando-as com carimbos e desenhos à mão.
Na minha mesa de trabalho está agora a última mala da colecção Outono/Inverno. Depois, tenho outros projectos para me dedicar até ao Natal...
Aproveito para avisar que irei aceitar encomendas personalizadas para o Natal até dia 20 de Novembro. Depois disso não poderei garantir a entrega a tempo das festas!

Last weekend I made small gifts to send along with my bags: coasters made of tweed and hand embroidered. At home I use them everywhere, to protect surfaces from hot mugs, vases and jars with plants, etc. I have also recycled some shipping boxes, wraping them with brown paper (also reused) and decorating them with stamps and hand drawings.
On my working table it is the last bag for Autumn/Winter collection. Then I have other projects to work on until Christmas.
I take the opportunity to let you know that I will accept custom orders for Christmas until 20th November. After that, I cannot guarantee delivery in time for the holidays!

We love home: special objects

No meu atelier tenho vários recipientes para os materiais pequenos. Alguns são muito especiais, como a bolsa para agulhas de tricot que era da minha avó (e que cresci a abrir para fazer malha com ela), a caixa de botões que a minha ama forrou para mim (e a rodilha foi feita pela mãe dela), as latinhas que a minha amiga J. me deu. Gosto de pensar que alguns destes objectos atravessaram gerações para vir parar ao universo Mundo Flo e, que de certa forma, influenciam o que crio, com toda a sua história!

In my studio I have several small containers for my materials. Some are very special, like my grandma's purse for knitting needles (and which I got used to open when I wanted to knit with her), the box for buttons that my nanny made for me (the cloth pad was made by her mother), the tiny cans my friend J. gave me. I like to think that some of these objects have crossed generations to get to Mundo Flo's universe and that, somehow, they have an influence on my creations, with all their history!
